Christa is a typical five year-old when it comes to her love of princesses.  It was no surprise when Christa wished for a princess castle playhouse!  There is one thing that sets Christa apart from other girls her age: her diagnoses of acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL).  Christa’s mom said that even though Christa wanted a playhouse outside, her medical condition prevents her from spending a lot of time outdoors.  The Make-A-Wish® Foundation of Eastern North Carolina found a solution with the help of Sweet Dream Theme Beds, who made a customized princess castle bed for Christa!Sweet Dream Theme Beds came to set up Christa’s princess bed on May 16, 2009.  The bed is complete with a mattress on both the upper and lower bunks, with stairs to climb up and a slide to slide down!
Her wish volunteers, Jocelyn George and Melissa Hladik, were there along with her family to celebrate the realization of Christa’s wish.  Now Christa has a place to play and a new castle in which to rest her head! The bed is everything Christa had hoped for and more!  Now Christa can enjoy her castle every day and night. It is sure to be something that she cherishes forever.
